Designation: Officer/Sr Officer/Team Leader - Sales

Job Description: Summary: The automotive Sales Officers / Team Leaders are responsible for forecasting sales, maintaining vehicle inventory and completing sales reports and other paperwork, as also to meet targets for the sale of vehicles, accessories and associated warranties, knowledge of finance options and insurance products whilst securing profits acceptable to the Group.

1. Achieve sales performances which at least meet periodic and annual sales targets whilst maximising profit gained from each transaction and maintaining the potential for repeat business.

2. Ensure that all opportunities for the Group to transact business in any product area are communicated to the correct line Manager.

3. Seek to constantly improve knowledge of vehicles, finance products, warranties and accessories, as well as gain an understanding of consumer protection legislation as it affects new car retail sales.

4. Ensure that all contact (written, oral and personal presentation) with customers is conducted in such a manner as to enhance the Group’s reputation.

5. In the case of a customer making a complaint, ensure it is dealt with quickly and that the procedure is adhered to.

6. Ensure that vehicles offered for demonstration and for sale are in safe condition and meet the preparation standards laid down by the Group.

7. Ensure that documentation procedures are performed as laid down by the Group and liaise closely with other departments in this respect.

8. Ensure that all FSA requirements are achieved and followed.

9. Have a thorough knowledge of Group guidelines, procedures and Group policies to ensure that they are adhered to by yourself, other employees, suppliers and customers at all times to reduce any risk to the Hendy Group business.

10. Promote all services of the Group to customers when the opportunity arises.

11. Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to.

12. Promote a positive attitude to create a cohesive team which will take the business forward.

13. Attend all training courses required to carry out your job role and continued development within the Group.

14. Ensure the health, safety and well being of all employees and customers on site; and that all the procedures with regards to health and safety are adhered to; this can be done using the health and safety package.

15. All other reasonable duties as requested by the General Sales Manager from time to time.

16. He/She is tasked with hiring, training, motivating and monitoring the sales and sales support staff. He also deals with customer complaints and works in conjunction with the salespeople to close and negotiate vehicle purchases.

Dimensions of your job – authorised and responsible for:

1. Financial – Authority to receive cash and cheques from customers and responsible for their safekeeping
2. Staff – None
3. Others – Ensure compliance with all health & safety and control of substances hazardous to health legislation; embrace the Groups vision and values; be responsible for opening and closing the showroom and the security of display vehicles; be responsible for the proper care of all equipment used in connection with selling vehicles

Work Environment

Automobile dealerships are often highly competitive work environments. The sales manager is pressured to exceed sales quotas each month, and he has to push his team to achieve. The hours are often long and include weekends and evenings.


Personality

    The auto sales officer needs to possess strong leadership qualities and a solid sales acumen. He should be an agile, self-directing task juggler. He needs to be comfortable dealing with both people and data/numbers.

Requirements

  HSC (12th) or equivalent fresher or with two or more years in automotive dealership sales is generally preferable, Graduate freshers are welcome

Pay
Rs.18,000 to Rs.20,000 per month plus the applicant can earn bonus pay based on sales quota achievements too as performance incentives.
